PS5 Shipments Have Reached 32 Million As Sony’s Console Enjoys Its Biggest Sales Quarter Yet

Sony Interactive Entertainment has announced that PS5 has shipped 32 million consoles worldwide, with the system enjoying its biggest sales quarter yet.

The hardware manufacturer revealed that its latest home console shifted 7.1 million units during the three-month period ended December 31, 2022.

This period includes the busy Christmas shopping season and sales were boosted by PS5 becoming more readily available in shops and online retailers. As such, Sony’s latest gaming slab saw an 83% increase in sales year-on-year for that specific period.

PS5 sales now stand at 12.8 million for the first three quarters of Sony’s fiscal year 2022, which is also the best the system has achieved in a FY so far — an increase of 34% over the same period the year prior.
